⊕ Hello! ⊕

I’m a guitarist and instructor in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area— having taught both full-time at McNally Smith College of Music and privately for the past 35 years in several locations. After coming of age in the Memphis music scene, I studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis in Music and Media. I recently completed my master’s degree in Guitar Performance. My career has encompassed producing, arranging, engineering, and performing in recording studio environments, work in television and film production, and a decade of touring the U.S. with a 14-piece horn band. I love a broad range of guitar styles— from roots music and rock to jazz and classical. My tastes are eclectic and I’m drawn to music that doesn’t fit neatly into categories. My passion is to share what I have learned with others, to learn from them in return, and to continue exploring the fathomless world of music. Bon voyage!
